Go Blue!
I'll admit it, I'm a die hard Colts fan. There was a time when the Skins were my team, but that time of my life has passed. I'm a home team girl now. It's funny because my parents were not big sports fans. Sports was never on at my house growing up. It was 8th grade when I started watching the Skins every Sunday. At that point I would watch through halftime and then turn it off so I wouldn't jinx them. I stuck with Washington until my first son was born.
The long, cold Sundays helped revive my love of the game. There's nothing better than turning it on, popping some corn and warming up as you cheer and jeer at the TV. My husband enjoys a good game, but he has no loyalty except to the underdog. I can't understand that. What's the point of watching football if you can't be personally involved. Last winter my brother-in-law and his to teenage sons spent quite a few Sunday afternoons at our house. There was no real reason for them to stop by, so I think it was to make fun of their aunt and her over-involvement in the game.
I hadn't really realized how deep my football affliction ran, until this past sumer when I found myself arguing football with my soon to be cousins-in-law. They insisted we were right to get rid of Edgerin James since we had no real alternatives. I lead them through the discussion of why we would have been better off getting rid of Marvin Harrison (no offense, Marvin) to keep the Edge. After my explanation they all found themselves nodding in agreement. If only I could convince the franchise that a 32 year old mother of 3 who still doesn't understand all the rules could be an asset in their front office. If only... Well, all I can say is 5 and 0, baby, because we're a good ball club.

I'm still a Skins 'fan'. I used to watch the games every Sunday like clockwork. My whole household was filled with Skins fans for about 10 years when I was growing up. I think the fever started running cool when Joe Gibbs left. I haven't quite gotten it back yet, but I still consider myself a 'fan'. I got to see a couple of games at FedEx fields last year in a sky box. That was kinda fun, too.
Okay - congrats you won. Denver D didn't want to play.
